Ford has presented the Focus ST Edition. The compact sports car is only available as a hatchback version and comes with coilover suspension and Brembo brakes on the front axle.

The new Ford Focus ST Edition comes in the exclusive Azura Blue special paint finish; wheels, roof and diffuser are finished in black. The 19" alloy wheels are weight-reduced and are manufactured using the flow-forming process. Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires are designed to provide more grip.

The interior is accentuated by decorative stitching in Motion Blue, while a B&O premium sound system with ten loudspeakers, a subwoofer and 675 watts of output power is fitted ex works. The winter package and driver assistance package are also included as standard.

Ford Focus ST Edition with Coilover Suspension

The ST Edition is powered by the familiar 2.3-liter Ecoboost engine. It has a twin-scroll turbocharger and produces 206 kW (280 hp) at 5,500 rpm. The maximum torque of 420 Nm is available between 3,000 and 4,000 rpm. Power is transmitted via a six-speed manual gearbox. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.7 s, the top speed is 250 km/h.

The adjustable 2-way coilover suspension from KW is characterized by twin-tube dampers with stainless steel housings and powder-coated coil springs with a 50 % higher spring rate. The suspension, which has been lowered by 10 mm, was tuned by Ford Performance and can be adjusted by a further 20 mm. Customers can also adjust the compression and rebound stages by 12 and 16 times respectively. They also receive a technical explanation with recommended suspension settings for various conditions and tracks, including a special Nürburgring Nordschleife setup.

The new Ford Focus ST Edition is now available to order and rounds off the Ford Focus ST X model range. It is still available as a five-door hatchback as well as a Turnier estate model and optionally with a seven-speed Powershift automatic transmission.
