Abstract

The education industry consists of students, which are the most major factor on which the country strength builds upon. Due to the introduction of digital media, psychological factors creep in like FOMO, digital anxiety, stress, etc. Nowadays, a lot of students are facing a psychological fear, namely FOMO which is the first construct of the study. The second variable of the study is life satisfaction which is an overall satisfaction from the life as a whole and obtain less consideration in the student’s study in Indian context. To evaluate the impact of FOMO on life satisfaction, initially factor analysis was conducted, followed by Pearson’s correlation ‘r’ and step-wise multiple regression analysis. Sample consists of 250 students. Findings reveals that the FOMO has significant influence on life satisfaction. Academicians could apply the findings in their own institutes and improve the life satisfaction of students.
