New entry-level model for the super sports car from Affalterbach: The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupé is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupé is distinguished from the more powerful GT models by a redesigned front apron with large air intakes and narrower front and rear fenders due to the reduced track width. The rear apron has also been modified and now features round tailpipe trims. The AMG GT 43 rolls on 19" light-alloy wheels as standard, with up to 21" wheels available as an option. The interior offers electrically adjustable sports seats in nappa leather, with various versions of the performance seats or the performance steering wheel also available as options.

The AMG steel spring suspension comes as standard in the GT 43 Coupé. All suspension control arms, steering knuckles and wheel carriers on the front and rear axles of the new GT are made of forged aluminum, and lightweight coil springs also reduce the weight. The AMG Ride Control adaptive damping system is available for an extra charge, as is the active rear axle steering. The braking system uses 390 x 36 mm discs with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and 360 x 26 mm discs with single-piston floating callipers at the rear.

AMG Four-Cylinder with 310 kW (421 hp) in the GT 43 Coupé

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine from Mercedes-AMG is equipped with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger and produces 310 kW (421 hp). The belt-driven starter generator can briefly provide an additional boost of 10 kW (14 hp). The maximum torque of 500 Nm is available between 3,250 rpm and 5,000 rpm and is transmitted to the rear wheels by a Speedshift MCT 9G transmission with wet clutch.

The driver can choose between the driving modes "Smooth", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport +" and "Individual" as well as "Race" in the optional "Dynamic Plus Package". The package, which is subject to a surcharge, also offers dynamic engine mounts, the electronically controlled rear axle locking differential, an active aerodynamic element in the underbody and yellow-painted brake callipers. The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupé is also available with various equipment variants and can be fitted with the Chrome or Night package, for example. The prices are not yet known.
