Zusammenfassung

Die zunehmende Verstrickung von Informations- und Biotechnologien bringt ein neues technologisches Feld innerhalb der Gesellschaft hervor, das sich auch auf Kriminalität auswirken wird. Vor dem Hintergrund des Verhältnisses zwischen Kriminalität und Technologie führt der Beitrag den Begriff der Cyberbiokriminalität in den (deutschsprachigen) Diskurs ein und konturiert ihn. Zudem werden erste Überlegungen zu ätiologische Ursachen angestellt und Cyberbiosicherheit als praktisches Präventionskonzept vorgestellt. Insgesamt soll so das Phänomen kriminologisch fassbar gemacht werden.

Dies zeigt sich bspw. daran, dass alte Schulenstreite überwunden sind, die Theorie und Empirie gegeneinander ausspielten, oder auch „Qualis“ und „Quantis“, und mittlerweile ganz anerkannt ist, dass jede Richtung ihre Berechtigung hat, denn entscheidend für die Qualität der Studien ist eben die Qualität der entsprechenden Untersuchungsdurchführung. Symbolhaft für die Aussöhnung der Strömungen kann auch der integrierende Einsatz der Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung i.S.v. „Mixed Methods“ gesehen werden.

Gerade diese Enge des Begriffsverständnisses macht es für die hier behandelten Kriminalitätsphänomene unbrauchbar.

Diskriminierung wird hier in einem weiteren Sinne als Benachteiligung von Gruppen bzw. einzelner Personen aufgrund bestimmter normativer Vorstellungen verstanden, durch eine Instrumentalisierung der Benachteiligung, etwa in Form von gesellschaftlichem Ansehensverlust durch Bekanntwerden bestimmter Informationen, zu kriminellen Zwecken, sodass eine – nicht in juristischem Sinne – mittelbare oder besser: vermittelte Diskriminierung vorliegt.

Dabei handelt es sich um ein textbasiertes Format zur Darstellung biologischer Informationen.
